When choosing an air conditioner, your decision may be based on price, efficiency, size, colour, or you just like the look of it. If you’re not sure what to buy, we can suggest a brand and model that’s on special at the time or has good past performance. Brands we like include Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu etc. these tend to be on the more expensive side but do last much longer than other brands.

If you feel that your existing split air conditioner is not working as well as it once did, we can diagnose the problem for you. Testing the gas pressures will help indicate if there has been a leak. Another method of testing is to measure the cooling or heating performance of the unit. We generally expect to see a 12° difference from the ambient room temperature.

Older, inefficient air conditioners cost more to run because they use more power, by replacing these units, you can save money on your electricity bill. Installation of a new inverter type system with modern gas such as R32 will go toward providing savings on your power bill.

After we have replaced your old air conditioner, disposal of the old unit is no problem. We can quote you to decommission and remove the old unit and dispose of the old components at a suitable facility. Handling refrigerant gas in older units is an especially sensitive procedure that we take seriously. Refrigerant gas must be contained and deposited at a handling facility to protect the environment. It makes good sense, plus it’s the law.
